Summertime is the best time to go out and blow off some steam with family and friends on the weekend. It’s a time to relax and have some fun! You might just be barhopping with friends or maybe you’re traveling around town for a friend’s birthday, but one question always comes into mind and can kill the exciting spirit you had going for the evening and that question is...who's driving?

There are Plenty of Fish for Us to See

Under the Sea

Take a break from your busy life and let's spend the day under the sea. Come on an exciting day of aquatic adventure as we travel to the Shedd Aquarium this Saturday March 23rd. According to their website, "You’ll find something wet, wild and wonderful wherever you walk at Shedd."

The Shedd Aquarium Experience

With over 32, 000 animals to see and learn about- that's right, thirty-two THOUSAND!, we know everyone will enjoy checking out the different exhibits. We can't wait to see what Cownose Rays and Moon Jellies are. Or what about Goliath Bird-eating Tarantulas? And there is no way we are leaving without visiting some cute penguins and turtles. Can you see why we are looking forward to this great tour opportunity?

The Shedd Aquarium has a rich history tied into Chicago's history and they have been a large part of the community since 1930. While Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo had a great freshwater fish collection, the founder, John G. Shedd envisioned a large and extravagant aquarium to help Chicago become the thriving metropolis that it is today.

Great Exhibits to Explore

The Shedd Aquarium has an almost overwhelming amount of displays to see. We wanted to make the most of our full day at the aquarium so here's what you have access to while we are there:

Most the Exhibits

Explore the Amazon, the Caribbean and the Wild Reefs with access to all the oceanariums and exhibit

s The Shedd Aquarium has to offer. The Jellies exhibit is a unique display of jellyfish in all their glory and the Waters of the World exhibit lets you travel the world in 80 different habitats. With so much to see and explore, this tour is well-worth the cost.

Aquatic Show

This dolphin and whale show showcases the natural and acquired skills of these majestic mammals.

Polar Play Zone

A great place just for children to do what they do best-PLAY. Put on a penguin suit and slide around, touch sea stars, or hop in a submarine and check out the beluga whale tank. Kids will love the interactive opportunities.
